With this release Wave 1, the new Business Event triggers have been supplemented to Power Apps. This serves as a mechanism to notify and trigger the external systems from the Business Central app.

The operations and finance connector has a “When a Business Event occurs” trigger. The Dataverse connector has a “When an action is performed” trigger. Any of these can be used for subscribing to any of these business events that are mentioned in the operations and finance app. They have similar functionality, however, the execution is a little different.

For instance, the sales invoice posting could trigger the flow which further automatically sends the invoice to a government-regulated e-invoicing service.

More Granularity for Warehouse Functionality

However, additional preview functionality was added to various other documents all across the software by including the capital and item journals, outputs, recurring consumption, warehouse entries and shipments, recurring consumption, and more. This means that the preview functionality lets users double-check their information before posting it to GL.
