Overview

The client provides environmental services to districts and counties across the United Kingdom. Techcronus replaced its paper-based auditing system with a custom Microsoft Power Platform solution. The platform features a field auditor Canvas App with predefined checklists and score tracking, a Portal App for external contacts, and a backend Model-Driven App for contact hierarchy management and automated MIS report generation to support management decisions.

Key Features:

Canvas App (Field Worker Interface):

  • Audit Identification & Summary: Allows auditors to view upcoming audits by client name and track completion status across sections and questions.
  • Data & Evidence Capture: Enables question-by-question responses, custom notes, and direct document/image uploads as audit evidence.
  • Task Assignment: Allows field auditors to raise activities directly on specific questions for primary contacts with defined due dates.
  • Score Comparison & Document Export: Automatically calculates actual vs. benchmark scores and generates downloadable PDF/DOC summary reports with non-compliance flags.

Model-Driven App (Back-Office & MIS):

  • Audit Preparation & Scheduling: Serves as the central hub for preparing audit templates and tracking assigned operational activities.
  • MIS Reporting & Decision Support: Consolidates field data into management information system (MIS) reports for executive decision-making.
  • Hierarchy Management: Manages client contacts and organizational management structures.

Portal App (External Contact Interface):

  • External Task Management: Gives external contacts permission to view, edit, or clear tasks linked to their record.
  • Audit Record Access: Grants external stakeholders read and edit capabilities over associated audit responses and records.
